How to configure Mysql for RUNDECK PRO

Last Updated: Jan 07, 2015 03:37PM PST

Create your own Mysql deployment if you don't already have one.

On Linux

Install the software package
  • RPM: yum -y -q install mysql  mysql-server mysql-deve

Set permissions

chgrp -R mysql /var/lib/mysql
chmod -R 770 /var/lib/mysql

Start it

service mysqld start

Create the Database

Here is a shell script that creates the database and grants access to the rundeckuser

mysql --user root --password='' <<EOF
create database rundeck;
grant ALL on rundeck.* to 'rundeckuser'@'%' identified by 'rundeckpassword';
show databases;
quit
EOF
